No, pretty sure he meant 3.14.

But what if it was a double meaning joke or something similar? It’d fit. 

He might have meant there’s no real pattern and we don’t know where it ends. We can’t be completely 100% certain that pi is infinite, we just know we haven’t found its end yet.
